The Stripschapprijs is a lifetime achievement award that has been presented annually since 1974 to a comic artist or writer who has made an exceptional contribution to the comic strip in general and to Dutch comics in particular. The Stripschapprijs is awarded by the board of Het Stripschap upon the recommendation of an independent committee, which is reconstituted each year. Each committee member has their own connection to the world of comics. The Stripschap Prize consists of a bronze sculpture and a certificate, which were presented during De Stripdagen. Since 2021, the award ceremony has taken place at the Forum in Groningen.

No monetary prize is associated with the award. The prize consists of a certificate and a sculpture.

In 1984, Piet Wijn received the Stripschap Prize for his complete body of work.
