HC
Oberon was a Dutch publisher of various comic magazines and comic albums. It was part of the VNU publishing company.
Earlier, the publishers De Spaarnestad and De Geïllustreerde Pers had merged to form VNU Publishing. In 1972, their comics departments were merged into Oberon. The comic magazines Sjors and Pep were also merged into Eppo in 1975. Some comic series from the French publisher Dargaud also appeared at Oberon until Dargaud discontinued this in the 1980s.
From 1990 the comics appeared at the new publisher Big Balloon.
