Pieter Cornelis Wijn (Hilversum, May 17, 1929 - Leidschendam, October 6, 2010) was a well-known and versatile Dutch comic book author. He drew many different genres.
For the Donald Duck he wrote fourteen stories of De Kleine Boze Wolf (1969), but he is best known as illustrator of the Douwe Dabbert series, for which he drew 23 stories for the weekly magazine from 1975 to 2001. The author of the stories was Thom Roep. Alone in the World also appeared in this weekly in 1998.
In 1984, Wijn won the Stripschapsprijs, the most prestigious award for his entire oeuvre.
In 1988 he suffered a stroke and became partially paralyzed in his right arm. He taught himself to draw with his left arm so that he could still make comics. Since making comics now required more of his time, he limited himself only to Douwe Dabbert.
In the last years of his life, few stories were published because of his poor health. The last Douwe Dabbert story was largely drawn by Dick Matena. On October 7, 2010, Thom Roep announced that Wijn had died the day before.
